The Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate of the Eparchy of Toronto and Eastern Canada celebrated the 50th Jubilee of Sisters Lawrencia Semjaniv and Doloretta Shalagan, on May 26, 2010.
The Sisters were joined by family, friends and SSMI Associates of the area at the Provincial home in Toronto as Divine Liturgy was celebrated by His Excellency Bishop Stephen Chmilar and concelebrated by Very Rev. Boniface Malowany, OSBM, Protosyncellus, Rev. Roman Lobay, Chancellor, Rev. John Tataryn, and members of the Basilian Fathers, Rev. Basil Cembalista, OSBM. and Rev. Mattew Drury, OSBM. During Divine Liturgy, the Jubilarians renewed their commitment before the Blessed Sacrament of the Most Holy Eucharist. Following the service, Bishop Stephen presented each Sister with a certificate of congratulations, and the Sisters presented each with a bouquet of roses.
